A private health check at The Doctor's Lounge is the most thorough way to assess your overall health — giving you either the reassurance of knowing you are in excellent health, or identifying issues early when they are most treatable.
Our doctor-led health screening programmes are tailored to your age, lifestyle, and personal health concerns, combining clinical examination, comprehensive blood testing, ECG heart tracing, lung function assessment, bowel cancer stool testing, and a detailed results consultation with your GP. Where indicated, we can also arrange overnight home sleep monitoring to investigate snoring and sleep apnoea.
We have frequently identified new medical issues that our patients were unaware of, enabling them to take control and access the further diagnostics and treatment they needed. Early identification through health screening can be genuinely life-changing — and sometimes life-saving.

Why we recommend annual health screening
An annual health screen is one of the most effective things you can do to stay ahead of your health. Many of the conditions that affect quality of life — raised cholesterol, pre-diabetes, thyroid dysfunction, vitamin deficiencies — develop silently over months and years without obvious symptoms. Catching them early means treating them when they are easy to address, not when they have already had an impact.
We think of an annual health check the way most people think of an annual service for their car — a sensible, proactive investment in keeping things running well. Your body deserves at least the same level of attention.
We recommend all patients consider an annual health screen from their mid-thirties onwards, and earlier for those with a family history of heart disease, diabetes, or cancer.
