What is a thyroid test?
A thyroid function test is a blood test that measures levels of TSH (thyroid stimulating hormone), T4 (thyroxine), and T3 (triiodothyronine) — the hormones that regulate your metabolism, energy, temperature, mood, and many other vital functions. Our comprehensive thyroid panel tests all three, giving a complete picture rather than a single TSH result in isolation.

What does a thyroid test tell us?
Your thyroid results tell us whether your thyroid gland is producing the right amount of hormones. An underactive thyroid (hypothyroidism) causes fatigue, weight gain, cold intolerance, and low mood. An overactive thyroid (hyperthyroidism) causes weight loss, palpitations, anxiety, and heat sensitivity. Both conditions are very manageable once diagnosed.
